Brandon Grunt, M.Ed., is a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor (LAPC) with a dynamic background in clinical and performance psychology. With a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Pennsylvania State University and a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Springfield College, Brandon brings a wealth of expertise to his practice. His professional journey includes providing counseling to adults and adolescents at Pennsylvania Hospital’s Hall-Mercer Community Mental Health Counseling Center. At Springfield College, he collaborated with Men’s Basketball, Men’s and Women’s Tennis, and Women’s Soccer teams, delivering mental skills workshops and individual coaching. He also led athletic counseling services at the 2024 Hoophall Classic for elite high school basketball players. As a performance coaching intern at Penn State and the United States Military Academy’s Center for Enhanced Performance, Brandon employed innovative tools like emWave biofeedback and virtual reality to enhance mental skills across military, academic, and athletic domains, shaping his versatile approach to performance psychology.
Brandon’s personal experiences as a competitive athlete in baseball, soccer, and particularly in basketball, fuel his passion for performance coaching. At Penn State, he embraced diverse challenges, from skydiving to standing for 46 hours at THON to winning poker tournaments and competing in chess. These varied pursuits enable him to connect authentically with clients navigating high-pressure performance environments.
Brandon offers holistic, person-centered counseling grounded in cognitive-behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and trauma-informed care. He specializes in building confidence, resilience, and focus in athletes, performers, and professionals in high-stakes fields.
